What is the Golden Circle Iceland?
The Golden Circle is a 300-kilometer sightseeing route in Iceland that includes three main attractions: Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site; Geysir geothermal area, home to the active Strokkur geyser; and Gullfoss waterfall, one of Iceland’s most famous natural wonders. Many tours also visit Kerið crater and nearby geothermal baths such as the Secret Lagoon in Flúðir. Departing from Reykjavik, the Golden Circle offers insight into Iceland’s volcanic landscapes, Viking history, and geothermal activity, making it one of the most popular day trips for visitors.
